SPARK GREEN ENERGY (AHMEDNAGAR) PVT. LTD. owns and operates a 12.5 MW biomass-based power plant at Plot No. B-4, M.I.D.C. Nevasa Industrial Area, in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra.
The plant burns sugarcane bagasse, press mud and crop residue in a high-pressure boiler to raise steam and drive a turbine. Fuel that would otherwise be dumped or burnt in the open becomes renewable power for the grid.
Incorporated in 2002 and commissioned in 2014, the plant was acquired by the Agrasen group in 2023 through the National Company Law Tribunal. It is now being revived with fresh investment, technical audits and new fuel partnerships.
